Evacuation advisory for outside 20-km zone of nuke plant to be lifted

TOKYO (Kyodo) — TOKYO (Kyodo) — The government plans to lift an evacuation advisory in the event of emergencies for residents outside the 20-kilometer exclusion zone around the crisis-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, government sources said Tuesday.

The central government plans first to allow business operators to visit their offices and then residents to return home temporarily in the areas within 3 km of the power plant, they said.
