OFFSITE NOTIFICATION OF OIL SHEEN IN DISCHARGE CANAL”At approximately 1650 EST on 11/28/2011 an oil sheen of about 20 ft. in diameter was observed in the Unit 2 discharge canal. The source of the oil is unknown at this time. There is no adverse impact on the plant. All required notifications have been made, including the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, Westchester County Dept. of Health, and the U.S. Coast Guard National Response Center.”The NRC Resident Inspector has been informed. |
