Japanese Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) – An explosion caused by hydrogen at Unit 3 of Fukushima Dai-ichi NPS (the 2ndrelease
TEPCO reported NISA that there was an explosion at Unit 3 of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station, NPS, at 11:01. According to TEPCO, the containment vessel of the unit was not broken. Detail information is under’investigation,.

The wind condition is calm and the direction of the wind above the station is the west or the southwest.

Residents living within the area at least 20 km radius from Fukushima Dai-ichi NPS are requested to shelter in buildings or _houses.

TEPCO reported to NISA that one person was injured at Fukushima Daiichi NPS at this time. TEPCO is preparing to transfer the person to Fukushima Dai-ni NPS. (Contact Person)

01:10 Sea water injection at unit 1 and unit 3 of Fukushima Dai-ichi NPS
were temporary stopped due to decreasing sea water in pool
03:20 Sea water injection at unit 3 of Fukushima Dai-ichi NPS was
restarted.

up by helicopter at the Futaba high school ground

Prefectural Response Headquarters judged that there were no
exposure to 35 persons who traveled from Futaba Public Welfare
Hospital to Kawamata Saiseikai Hospital, Kawamata-machi by the
private bus provided by Fukushima Prefecture.
