NRC announces multiple exit-meetings to be held for San Onofre Augmented Inspection Team findings

The Nuclear Regulator Regulatory Commission on Thursday announced a public meeting on June 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center to present results of a months-long inspection at the troubled San Onofre plant.

During the meeting, which is open to public observation, the NRC staff will provide a summary of the Augmented Inspection Team’s findings followed by a response from the licensee.

After a short break, the NRC staff will be available to answer questions from the public and accept comments on San Onofre-related issues.

This will be the first in a series of public meetings to be held in the area to keep the public informed on the progress of NRC inspection and oversight activities at San Onofre.
