Japanese scientists say burying nuclear waste is wrong move for nation

A report from the Science Council of Japan which will be presented to the Atomic Energy Commission, says that identifying a suitable location for underground nuclear storage in Japan is difficult, as earthquakes, volcanoes, and tsunamis are prevalent activity in the region.

Fukushima Prefecture to publish cesium levels measured in rice online

Fukushima prefecture is scheduled to start testing this week fn all shipments of raw rice produced in Fukushima.

The system, however, will only work for raw rice, not polished rice, and will not contain data on radioactive substances other than cesium.
