Fukushima Disaster is a Murder’s Act says Futaba Mayor
“I think this is the accident that happened in insufficient safety precaution and we consider this as a manmade disaster,” Katsutaka Idogawa, mayor of Futaba where the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant is located, said at a meeting held in the U.N. Office in Geneva. “There are some people who speak as if the accident has been contained but the reality is the contrary,” he said.
“Although we had unwanted exposure to the radiation, we never heard any apology from anyone. This feeling I have will never be cleared and this is an unforgivable murder’s act,” he said.

Fukushima Prefecture Governor Yuhei Sato submitted a petition seeking the decommissioning of all nuclear power plants in the prefecture to TEPCO president Naomi Hirose.
The petition urged four main points, full implementation of the damages petition, thorough decontamination, decommissioning and accident convergence, and reconstruction and regeneration of the province.
After the meeting the governor said that the TEPCO president had avoided giving him a clear answer but said that the utility would seriously work in a concerted effort.
