This week, twenty workers at Fukushima Daiichi worked to investigate the torus room inside of the Unit 1 reactor building. They found that the top of the water is around OP 3700, which is lower than previous surveys.
Workers also recorded radiation levels above the surface of the water and found them to be over 900 millisieverts per hour, which will restrict workers from being able to directly enter or work in those conditions.
TEPCO did not release any images or video footage of the survey at this time, but did not that the effects of corrosion and rust were observed.
